Great experience. I was shopping from San Antonio Texas and I saw the car I wanted. I reached out to Jason Flores on a sunday. He was super attentive and gave me all the necessary information I needed before I took the trip down there to seal the deal. I don’t usually leave reviews, but after everything I’ve experienced, I feel obligated to share this so others can make an informed decision. 🚗 Purchase & Expectations I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe from Hiley Hyundai on August 15, 2025. Like most buyers, I trusted the CPO process, especially the multi-point inspection that’s supposed to ensure the vehicle is in excellent condition. ⚠️ Issues Shortly After Purchase Within six months of ownership and under 8,500 miles, my check engine light came on and the vehicle presented multiple engine-related issues (9 codes total). This is not something you expect from a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle that supposedly passed inspection. 🔧 Repairs & Corporate Response I followed proper procedure and took the vehicle to a Hyundai dealership for diagnosis and repair. After weeks of back and forth with Hyundai Corporate: One repair was covered at 100% One repair was only covered at 65% Another repair was not covered at all This left me responsible for hundreds + tax out of pocket, for issues I did not cause. Even though I have a warranty that is supposed to cover all of these issues. 🏢 Dealership Response (Hiley Hyundai) Because this vehicle was sold to me as CPO, I reached out to Hiley Hyundai for assistance. The General Manager initially responded and said he would look into it. I provided a full breakdown of costs and timeline I clarified that the issue began before the 6-month mark After that, communication stalled, and I was ultimately told the dealership would not assist in any way. 💸 The Reality At this point: I’ve made multiple car payments I’ve maintained full insurance I’ve been without my vehicle for months while it sits in a shop And I’m still expected to pay for repairs on a CPO vehicle shortly after purchase ❌ The Biggest Issue: Lack of Accountability The most disappointing part is not just the repair itself, it’s the lack of ownership. A dealership that sells Certified Pre-Owned vehicles should stand behind what they sell, especially when issues arise this quickly. Instead, I’ve been passed between corporate and the dealership with no real resolution. 📄 Next Steps Because Hiley Hyundai has refused to assist, I am now proceeding with a BBB Auto Line complaint and formal dispute process. I made every effort to resolve this privately and professionally before taking this step. ⚠️ Advice to Future Buyers If you are considering purchasing from Hiley Hyundai: Do not rely solely on the “Certified” label Get everything documented clearly Be prepared to advocate for yourself if issues arise Final Thoughts I truly wanted to resolve this without going public, but after weeks of delays, lack of follow-up, and refusal to help, I felt this was necessary. I was undecided about purchasing a new vehicle and which one. I stopped by Hiley Hyundai of Fort Worth on a recommendation. I worked with vehicle Specialist Garrett Ridgway. He greeted us and made us feel welcomed. Since I was undecided, Garrett ask questions to see what type of vehicle I was interested in. He threw in some jokes and trust was made. Garrett did not push me in any one direction. He was patient and explained the pros and cons of each type of vehicle. He even discussed cars from different manufacturers. I went with Hyundai based on features and warranty. But it was my choice, no pressure from Garrett in anyway. I then narrowed it down to a Sonata and a Santa Fe. Again Garrett went over the both vehicles in detail. I went with the Santa Fe. This is the part I was not expecting. Garrett and the Sales Management worked with me on the price. They found me just about every rebate and discount I could qualify for. They gave me a great price on my trade in. The whole sales process was above my expectations in every way. For the finance side I worked with Finance Manager Lori Kirwin, she was great. We spent more time joking laughing then actual paperwork. I really enjoyed this whole experience. Thank you to the whole Hiley Team.
