Fun Easter Activities for the whole family in Fort Worth, TX

Easter is a great time to spend with your family and enjoy a variety of fun activities. Cute Easter Bunny decorations and beautiful flower displays are reminders that the season is once again arriving. There are many fun Easter-themed things to do in and around the Fort Worth area, from egg hunts to photo opportunities. Check out these 10 exciting Easter festivities happening this April.

EGGstravaganza

Every year, the city of Trophy Club just north of Fort Worth holds an EGGstravaganza, where families can get the chance to take their pictures with the Easter Bunny and kids can enjoy an egg hunt. This year, the event takes place on Saturday, April 16 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Independence Park East.

The park sits on 13 acres and contains a new basketball complex, three baseball fields, three T-ball practice fields, and two multi-use fields. Trophy Club staff plan to scatter thousands of eggs for kids to race to find throughout the park. Each family will also get a special photo to keep and children will receive a special Easter goody bag filled with candy and toys.

Stockyards Easter Run

Celebrate Easter by going on a long run through the Fort Worth Stockyards. The estimated date for the run is April 15, and you have the option to register multiple people for the 10K, 5K, or 1K, depending on how long you plan to run. If you have five or more people, you can register as a team. The event is rain or shine and strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. All participants will receive a special goody bag at the end of the race. After the race, your family can enjoy lunch at one of the Stockyard’s many delicious restaurants.

Keller Spring Fun Festival

Celebrate Easter and the spring season at the Keller Spring Fun Festival on April 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. right outside Keller Town Hall in nearby Keller. The event will feature a huge Easter egg hunt to occupy children of all ages. Kids ages 7 and under can begin the hunt at 11 a.m., and older kids can begin their hunt at noon. Pets are also welcome. After the Easter egg hunt, you can get a delicious bite to eat and enjoy a variety of vendors. Other fun, hands-on activities are also available.

Easter Escapade

Fort Worth’s annual Easter Escapade will take place on April 16. Runners have the option of doing either a 5K or a 10K, and the race will go through the scenic Main Creek Trail. Kids get their own free race. Participants can also enjoy a variety of fun swag, including a special designer shirt and a custom medal. Live results and awards will also take place.

After the race, you can get a free family photo and enjoy plenty of delicious food. Fun activities the whole family can enjoy are also available. Packet pickup will be on the day of the race, from 7:45 to 8:55 a.m.

Easter Craft Show

Hop on over to Crossover Farm in nearby Rhome for a special Easter craft show. The event is on April 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hosting the event is Cassie’s chocolate creations and more, a small chocolate shop and bakery selling a variety of delicious products for a range of occasions. The all-day event will feature a variety of unique creations and include plenty of fun things for kids to do. Crossover Farm is a local family-owned farm and the perfect place to get out and enjoy the fresh spring air.

Moslah Easter Egg Hunt

The Fort Worth Masonic Temple is planning its annual egg hunt for April 10 on the front lawn of the temple. The hunt includes separate age divisions and a special visit by the Easter Bunny himself. After the egg hunt, you can go out for a meal at one of downtown Fort Worth’s many nearby restaurants. Be sure to check the temple’s website for more information about when the event starts.

Easter Brunch at Taste

If you’re feeling like doing something a little more low-key for Easter, head over to Taste Project located right off South Main Street for a special Easter brunch. Taste Project is a new nonprofit restaurant serving fresh, delicious food where patrons can pay what they’re able to afford. Brunch dishes include a variety of soups and salads, handheld sandwiches such as the grilled chicken sandwich and cherry bacon cheeseburger, and larger dishes like eggs Benedict, sweet potato risotto, and carbonara. Kids and adults can also choose a half-portion from any selection.

The brunch is Sunday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. After your brunch, you can go for a walk downtown. The Fort Worth Water Gardens are just over a mile away and contain plenty to marvel at. The urban park is especially popular in the spring.

Easter Egg Scramble

Nearby Flower Mound is holding its annual Easter Egg Scramble on Saturday, April 9 at Jake’s Hilltop Park. Activities officially begin at 1:30 p.m. and the egg hunt begins promptly at 2:30 p.m. with separate age divisions. The event will also feature a special appearance by the Easter Bunny and will be rain or shine.

Bunny Brunch

Head over to the Mansfield Activities Center in nearby Mansfield on April 16 for a special Bunny Brunch. The brunch begins at 9:30 a.m. and includes a variety of fun family activities for all ages. You can enjoy a delicious brunch while the kids have fun getting their faces painted. Later, you can do a craft together and get your pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.

Eggstravaganza at North Hills Baptist Church

Just a short drive away from Fort Worth, North Richland Hills Baptist Church’s annual Eggstravaganza event offers plenty of fun, with a huge egg hunt on the South Lawn for children of all ages. Kids will also have a blast jumping around in the bounce houses while you enjoy crafts, snacks, and music. The whole family will have a blast in the many activity booths, including an egg toss, miniature golf, a fishing game, a beanbag toss, and more. The event begins April 16 at 10 a.m. and lasts until noon.
