Hyundai Kona Earns Top Marks in Tech Experience Index
The past decade has been a learning experience for automotive companies. They have had to work hard to find ways to incorporate technology into their vehicles without it becoming frustrating or distracting to their drivers. It seems the Hyundai Kona has found the key to driver technology satisfaction as it earned the top score in its segment in the recent J.D. 2018 U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) StudySM.
The Kona came away at the top of the small segment with great scores in driving assistance, smartphone mirroring, entertainment, connectivity, and collision protection.
“We are proud to offer advanced safety and convenience technologies across our Hyundai lineup, especially during a time when vehicle technology is becoming an expectation for owners and drivers,” says Manish Mehrotra, director, Digital Business Planning and Connected Operations, Hyundai Motor America.
Standard technology features in the award-winning Kona include a 7-inch LCD touchscreen, Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ smartphone compatibility, a rearview camera, and LED Daytime Running Lights. Buyers can also for even more features on higher trims like SiriusXM® Radio, next-generation Blue Link® LTE-powered connectivity, and HD Radio.
Advanced safety features are also important. Every Kona comes with Hill Start Assist Control and Vehicle Stability Management. Additional features like Lane Change Assist and Blind-Spot Collision Warning are available.
