Hyundai Sets New Sales Records with 7th Consecutive Month of Gains
Maybe it’s the massive appeal of America’s Best Warranty, or the impressive new lineup of cars and SUVs, or the undeniably fun driving experience, or all of these things combined. No matter how you figure it, Hyundai is on a huge hot-streak, and recently posted a seventh consecutive month of sales gains, reflecting the brands growing popularity and firmly establishing Hyundai as one of the most popular automakers around today.
In February of this year, Hyundai saw a 2-percent sales increase compared to the same period in 2018, bringing the total to 45,612 vehicles sold in February 2019 compared to 44,732 sold in February 2018. These record-breaking months of total sales coincide with recording breaking SUV sales. In fact, of all the sales Hyundai made in February of this year, 25,024 — or 55 percent — of them were SUVs.
As Jon Cook, Hyundai Motor America’s director has noted, Hyundai’s “revamped product lineup is driving consumer interest” as sales continue to rocket. Part of this revamped product lineup is newly redesigned SUVs like the 2019 Hyundai Tucson, which recently set a new February sales record, as well as the 2019 Santa Fe and the Santa Fe XL models, which saw a combined sales increase of 5 percent this year.
