Are you looking for a spot to visit to unwind in Cowtown after a long week? The nightlife is teeming with activity in Fort Worth, and we’ve highlighted our favorite spots for you to check out.

Billy Bob’s Texas

Billy Bob’s Texas is a country music club on Rodeo Plaza. Its history dates as far back as 1910, when it was once an open barn. It underwent some renovations throughout the years and opened as a club in 1981. Since then, Billy Bob’s Texas has become a favorite honky tonk among Fort Worth locals. The building itself is huge, as it spans 125,000 square feet. It includes a huge dance floor for solo or partnered dancing, pool tables, a rodeo arena, and more than 35 bar stations.

If you’re into bull riding, Billy Bob’s Texas is the place to visit. You can test your own skills by hopping on one of the establishment’s mechanical bulls. The bulls have varying difficulty levels, so no worries if you’re new to the sport. If you prefer to sit back and watch, there are several areas that host professional bull riding events. You can watch the professionals do their thing while you sit back and enjoy a refreshing beverage and chat with other fans.

One of the biggest appeals of Billy Bob’s Texas is its live music. It has hosted performers like Asleep at the Wheel, Charlie Daniels, and Willie Nelson in the past. It always has a solid lineup of performers, including contemporary artists and beloved singers from the past.

If you want to take a walk down memory lane, you can visit the Wall of Fame at Billy Bob’s Texas. This site features the handprints of past performers, a tradition that started more than 20 years ago. You can see the handprints of past performers like Ringo Starr and Johnny Cash and feel more at home in the authentic country environment that the establishment creates.

Blackland Distillery

If you’re looking for a nightlife spot with more of an upscale vibe, Blackland Distillery is the perfect location. It’s led by founder Markus Kypreos, who has an extensive culinary background, and Ezra Cox, who has 20 years of experience in distilling and brewing. There’s a lot to do when you visit Blackland Distillery. For example, you can sign up for a tasting and tour where you can learn more about the establishment itself and the processes that go into making the spirits they sell.

You can also visit the distillery area to take part in a workshop where patrons can make their very own aromatic bitters, flavored vodka, or gin that you can take home with you. Patrons often make enough to take anywhere between four and six bottles with them. Up to 12 people can take part in a workshop, so you can invite your friends to partake in the fun with you. During your workshop, you can interact with the expert distiller himself, Ezra Cox, and ask him any questions you have about the distilling process.

If you prefer to sit back and enjoy beverages in a social setting, you can also visit Blackland Distillery’s bar and lounge. Here, patrons can try a rotating lineup of custom cocktails that the employees prepare using Blackland spirits. The lounge has won multiple awards over the years, including “Best Cocktail Lounge 2019” from FW Weekly and “Best Lounge 2020” from Fort Worth Magazine.

Feel free to hang out late on Friday and Saturday night, as the lounge stays open until midnight. If you visit Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, you can enjoy the establishment’s services until 11 p.m.

Four Day Weekend

Four Day Weekend is a comedy club in Fort Worth’s Sundance Square. Live shows take place every Friday and Saturday night in the club’s cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The cast improvises each show, so you’ll experience a truly unique performance each time. Many Fort Worth locals make a point to visit every week, and they always feel like an integral part of the crowd. The cast invites and encourages audience members to interact with the cast and facilitate each performance’s progression.

Each show incorporates not only the cast’s improvisational skills but also musical cues and interactive videos. These elements add to each performance’s hilarity. If you want a unique insight into the comedy world of Four Day Weekend, you can take classes during the day. These classes cover topics like characters, motivation, and relationships so that you can better understand how to take part. With this knowledge, you can attend a show on Friday or Saturday night and have a greater appreciation for the art form.

The Library Bar

The Library Bar is a great spot for younger crowds to mingle and meet new people. The atmosphere is lively yet not overwhelming. There is live music to create a fun environment, and there are plenty of TVs to view live sporting events. Despite all that’s going on, you can still hear other people around you and carry on fun conversations.

The Library Bar employs friendly, enthusiastic bartenders who can help you find the perfect drink. Some of the establishment’s most popular cocktails include the Jesse Jane martini, which is a concoction of olive juice and vodka, and the Library Old Fashioned, which is a combination of rye, orange zest, bitters, and demerara syrup.

If you enjoy mingling over an activity, you can try your hand at one of the bar’s pool tables or foosball tables in the upstairs or downstairs areas. There’s also an outside patio that you can sit on to enjoy a pleasant evening in Fort Worth. On some nights, the Library Bar has live music or bingo. You can sit back and listen to local bands or revel in some friendly competition, depending on your interests.
