The All- New 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Here In Fort Worth, TX
The Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is a versatile compact crossover that combines the benefits of abundant passenger and cargo space with a fuel-efficient engine. Its design is closely related to the gas-powered Tucson. However, the Tucson Hybrid does have a few standout styling features. Both vehicles were fully redesigned for the 2022 model year, so we’re not expecting massive changes for 2023 here at Hiley Hyundai of Fort Worth. Tucson Hybrid Engine and Performance

2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid
The 2023 Tucson Hybrid’s power train will include a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a battery pack, and an electric motor. It also has a six-speed automatic transmission and operates with standard all-wheel drive. The power train combines to generate 226 horsepower.
The gas-powered Tucson doesn’t quite match the Hybrid’s acceleration abilities. The standard Tucson is powered by a 187-horsepower four-cylinder engine, which is perfectly fine for daily driving. The engine works in tandem with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is offered as an optional upgrade.
The Tucson Hybrid offers better fuel economy than its gas-powered counterpart, with the Hybrid achieving 38 mpg in the city and on the highway. In comparison, the gas-powered Tucson gets 26 mpg and 33 mpg, respectively, in front-wheel drive. However, these figures drop to 24 mpg on city roads and 29 mpg on the highway in all-wheel drive.
Both the Tucson and Tucson Hybrid can tow up to 2,000 pounds, and this limit should be enough to pull a small camper, jet ski, or modest-sized boat out of town for the weekend.
Tucson Hybrid Interior
The Tucson Hybrid offers two comfortable rows of seating for up to five passengers. You’ll find plenty of legroom and headroom in both rows to enjoy a relaxing ride, whether on a short commute to work or a long drive.
Behind the second row, the Tucson Hybrid offers over 38 cubic feet of cargo capacity, which makes it one of the roomiest crossovers in the class. A cargo area of that size should manage your family’s luggage for a vacation or weekend away. If you need to transport larger household items, you can open up more than 74 cubic feet of storage by folding down the rear row of seats.
Tucson Hybrid Infotainment and Safety Features
You can access the Tucson Hybrid’s infotainment system through an 8-inch display. One of the standout features on offer is wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which allows you to connect your smartphone to the Tucson’s infotainment system. The wireless version of these features is often only offered in higher, luxury trims. However, the Tucson Hybrid includes them in its base setup.
You can upgrade to a 10.25-inch screen, a premium stereo, and a navigation system. Wireless device charging is also available. The entertainment features offered in the gas-powered Tucson are essentially identical.
The Tucson Hybrid has an extensive selection of standard driver assistance features to make your job behind the wheel a bit easier. Adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist help to improve your safety when you’re driving on the highway. If a potential hazard emerges, forward collision warning and pedestrian detection can alert you so that you can take evasive action. The automatic emergency braking system can bring your Tucson Hybrid to a quick stop if you fail to respond in time.
Another key feature is the driver drowsiness monitor, which monitors your reaction times and other driving behaviors and warns you when to take a break. If you’d like assistance when parking, you can upgrade to front and rear parking sensors or the surround-view parking camera. A further optional upgrade is the remote smart park assist, which allows you to direct your Tucson in or out of a parking spot with the key fob while standing outside the car.
The gas-powered Tucson’s safety features largely follow those offered by the Hybrid. One difference is that adaptive cruise control is only available as an optional upgrade.
Tucson Hybrid Trims and Pricing
The 2023 Tucson Hybrid is offered in three trims: Blue, SEL Convenience, and Limited. The standard Tucson has four trims: SE, SEL, N Line, and Limited. Another significant difference is the price tag, with the Tucson Hybrid costing approximately $4,000 more than the standard Tucson.
The base Blue trim has an MSRP of around $29,200, which features cloth upholstery, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and automatic climate control. The SEL Convenience adds a sunroof and wireless device charging. A hands-free power liftgate will make loading up your Tucson Hybrid at the rear much easier.
But if you want the most luxurious cabin offered by the Tucson Hybrid, the Limited is the trim to choose. It has leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and a power-adjustable passenger seat. In addition, you get the larger infotainment screen, heated rear seats, and a wide range of optional safety features.
Most of the standard Tucson trim options have similar optional add-ons. The only exception is the N Line trim, which includes unique styling elements to create a sportier feel. These touches slightly alter the appearance of the exterior headlights, wheels, bumpers, grill, and the cabin’s front seats and pedals.
