The base-level trim for the 2024 Hyundai Tucson is the SE. This model comes standard with 17-inch wheels, a tire mobility kit, and body-colored side mirrors. It has an array of entertainment technology features, including an eight-inch touchscreen display, the capability to connect wirelessly to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and an AM/FM radio system. Soft cloth seats and a six-way adjustable driver seat will keep you comfortable throughout your ride.
In terms of safety features, the SmartSense system comes standard across all trim levels. It includes driver-assist technologies like forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian, cyclist, and junction turning detection. There’s also driver attention warning, lane keeping and following assist, and blind-spot collision avoidance assist.
The next trim for the 2024 Tucson is the SEL, which offers even more luxury than the SE. You can notice the upgrade right away with the eight-way power adjustable driver seat with power driver’s lumbar support and heated front seats for both the driver and passenger. You’ll also have the option to add larger 19-inch wheels with this trim, and the model comes standard with a compact temporary spare tire. If you want a larger infotainment screen, you can upgrade to a 10.25-inch version with the Convenience Package on this model.
Different from the SE trim, this version of the Tucson includes Bluelink+ connected car service, for added safety and convenience.
Hyundai Digital Key is standard on this trim too, meaning you can open your car with just your mobile phone. The SEL contains the same safety features as the SE trim, but you can opt for ultrasonic rear occupant alert if you choose to upgrade to the Convenience Package.
For the most impressive version of the 2024 Tucson, you can opt for the Limited trim. This model comes automatically with larger 19-inch wheels, as well as LED projector-type headlights and premium LED daytime running lights. The side mirrors feature premium accents, setting this model apart from the lower trims. You’ll also get side mirrors with LED turn-signal indicators for no extra charge, while they’re only available with the Convenience Package on the SEL trim. The seats inside the Limited trim are luxurious as well, with leather-trimmed upholstery and an eight-way power adjustable passenger seat to match the driver’s side.
Tech and comfort features are upgraded on this trim, with heated rear seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel coming standard. You’ll get the 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen display, equipped with the most advanced features, including onboard navigation, traffic flow including incident data via HD Radio, and map and multimedia software. For tech, you can enjoy a Bose premium audio system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integrated into the vehicle, and SiriusXM Satellite Radio. There’s also a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a much larger option than the 4.2-inch gauge cluster on the SE and SEL trims.
Shared Features Across Trims
There are quite a few features you can enjoy when purchasing a 2024 Tucson, no matter which trim you choose. For example, all trims come equipped with an inline four-cylinder engine that achieves 187 HP and 178 lb/ft of torque. All three trims also have the capability for all-wheel drive, and they all come standard with Idle Stop & Go and Drive Mode Select. You’ll get the same
towing power on each trim, which maxes out at 2,000 pounds with trailer brakes and 1,650 without them.
Another feature that comes standard on all trims is the Motor-Driven Power Steering (MDPS) rack-and-pinion steering, column-mounted steering wheel. You can also get automatic headlights, high beam assist, and a roof-mounted center high-mount stop lamp standard on all trims. Other features you can enjoy on all trims include a shark-fin roof antenna, solar control front glass, 12-volt outlets, and a remote keyless entry system. With all three of these trim levels, you can expect a fuel economy of 28 mpg combined, with 25 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.
Package Options and Customization
Once you settle on a 2024 Tucson trim level, you can customize your vehicle even further. For instance, on the SEL trim, you have the option to add on the Convenience Package, which upgrades the interior with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, 19-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and navigation system, and a power sunroof. This package also adds dynamic voice recognition and auto-dimming rearview mirrors. The Convenience Package also adds on advanced rear occupant alert, LED tail lamps, and H-Tex seating surfaces.
While there aren’t upgrade packages available for the SE or Limited trims, you can still add on various features and accessories when building your perfect Tucson. This includes being able to choose your paint color, add on an auto-dimming rearview mirror, or apply a rear bumper applique.
